Posted March 28, 20231 yr Hi I am considering getting Dyness 5.1kwh LiPO4 battery. Anyone know where i can a Dyness battery. All the sites seem to be out of stock. I saw this other brand Green Deer which seems to be as good. Does anyone have any experience with it? https://greendeerenergy.co.za/shop/ https://www.solarpanelenergy.co.za/docs/Green Deer 10kwh Lithium Ion Battery.pdf
April 28, 20231 yr Hi there - did you ever get any feedback on these batteries? I have several quotes for my installation and one of them includes Green Deer batteries, which I had not heard of

July 22, 20231 yr Just my 2c worth i don't know the Greendeer batteries but i do know Greenrich UP5000 batteries. The Greenrich is a true 1.5~2C compared to the 1C on the Greendeer and for only 2k more the Greenrich to me is a no brainer with the Greenrich UP5000 jou will be able to utilize the full capacity of a 5kw inverter and have some spare for surges. With the Greendeer you wil be able to only supply 4400 watts max. Edited July 22, 20231 yr by TaliaB

Valid point, however, how many 5kW Inverters handle much more than 4000W purely from Battery alone? The only one that I found that openly declares the max 4000W from Battery alone is the Luxpower SNA. And from own experience my Growatt shuts down as well when I draw 4000W+ purely from battery even though I have a 1C battery. So the 4400W is not a deal breaker in my opinion. February 1, 20241 yr My Greendeer 5.1 kw battery has given no problems since its installation over 6 months go. I also cant find any other reviews on them. They seem solid enough for the price, aesthetically good too.
March 14, 20241 yr I see alot of green deer battery response . February 23Feb 23 I have three 10-kWh batteries installed for almost 3 years and have had no problems so far. The ones I have is a square shape unit, and I have seen that they have since introduced a new rounder shape one. I have been looking at adding a unit, and the Green Deer support team is not so good. It seems like there is only one person who works there. The design of the battery with terminals underneath makes it almost unavoidable to have long cables. I have since been looking for battery cabinet, and I dont seem to find anything. Can anyone assist?
