Posted April 4, 20231 yr Hi I have an Mecer 5kva MKS2 and have gotten an Mecer SOL-I-AX-5M4 inverter and would just like to know if the two can be connected parallel or not? or what will be needed to be able to connect them parallel? Thank estelle

My understanding from reading the firmware is that you won't get fault code 71 since both paralleling constants are 118. Both inverters have the higher voltage PV, and both have about the same rated power. So I think it's possible, even though the firmware versions would be very different, and the displays are vastly different. It's a gamble though. Most people would never think to attempt this. 16 hours ago, Estelle said: what will be needed to be able to connect them parallel? You will need two paralleling kits, assuming that neither came with one. That means two paralleling boards, two grey cables, and two red/black twisted cables. You can get these from your supplier, or from Ali Express or the like. Then you need appropriate wiring, e.g. at least separate output breakers for each inverter, and preferably separate AC-in breakers as well. The battery must be common to both inverters, and the PV (if present) must not be common to the inverters.
