Posted April 12, 20232 yr Hi there, Really hoping to get some experienced advice from someone here as im quite useless with this stuff, so here goes! Im looking into buying a plug & play power station for my office. I'm currently running a Mecer 2.5kVa with 2 lead acid batteries and the batteries have started giving in. So its time now to upgrade to a lithium battery system. Here are the 2 options I'm thinking of: https://powerprovider.co.za/product/2-5kva-2-56kwh-lithium-compact-power-station-2500w/ OR https://powerprovider.co.za/product/3kva-2-75kwh-lithium-compact-power-station-3000w/ My question is first - do you know if these particular inverters are noisy? Or at least noisier than your average inverter, my current one makes a fan noise when recharging which is certainly audible but not annoyingly so. And a friend of mine said the RCT's are noisey but not sure i can rely on his advice so just wondering if I could expect the same level of fan noise or if it will be worse. My second question is: My current power load is hitting 20% and hardly ever goes over that amount with all computer equipment and lamps running. Do you think there will be much of a difference between these 2 options in terms of how long the battery will last. The first option has 2X Hubble S-100 A 1.28kWh LiFePO4 and the other has 1 Hubble AM-4 Lithium-Ion Battery 25V 100Ah – 2.75kWh – 1C Battery So just wondering which option will be best for the longer lasting battery. Look forward to hearing your advice. Thanks
