Posted April 14, 20231 yr I have 8 x 540w Canadian solar panel split into two strings as it is on opposite sides of the roof. I have trouble getting Canadian 540W panels and was wondering if it would be OK to add 540W JA panels?
April 14, 20231 yr Yes you can. The important thing is to match the panels as close as possible of optimal results.

April 14, 20231 yr If you use parallel strings, you at least need to make sure that all strings contain similar numbers of different panels. I have not had a look at the specifications of the panels you mention, but I think that one should try to match the nominal output current of panels as close as possible and worry less if the power and/or voltage is the same.

If you have space on the roof put all 8 Canadians on one side provided your inverter can handle a 8s string.
