Hi guys,

So 01:30AM and here I am seeking help.

I have the Mecer Axpert 5.6K MKS and a Dyness 48100 battery.

Installed and working, but it seems the battery is not communicating with the inverter as it shows 100% on the LEDs (SOC) on the battery but on the inverter it shows 25% then 50% but mostly hangs around 50%. This does not change with how much I am drawing, which is 250W as I live alone and don’t have much on, and my PCs ect are off ect. I have checked the settings and they all seem to be correct.

My questions are this:

1: Do I need the comms cable if it’s set to manual(I assume so), and where can I get one as I didn’t get one with it, which is quite rude.? I have 2 cables that came with my Deye but not sure if they will work. Everyone I speak to has a different opinion. At the moment I have the inverter set ti option 5 which is manual. And all the dip switches on the battery off.

2: Please could someone shed some light on settings that could cause this. As I am a lost cause at the moment and I’ve spoken to 3 electricians who basically do not care to help me.

3: How do I update firmware on this thing?

Thanks in advance guys, really would appreciate any feedback.

If you don't have the cable to the battery's BMS, then the SOC will be wildly wrong, because it's assuming a lead acid battery, and they have completely different characteristics.

First report your existing firmware version numbers (U1 = main, and U2 = display / BMS interface). That tells us what chipset you have in those two parts.

Firmware update instructions for Axpert inverters with round colour displays.
