Edvinas
Hello all! I'd like to use a 3 phase solar inverter (Sunsynk 12kW 3 Phase hybrid inverter) with my currently wired single phase home. The reasons are mainly for future proofing as I'd like to make use 3 phase EV charger and some power tools requiring 3 phase. Could anyone give me any advice on whether is just a bad idea or just confirm that I'd still be able to use the full 12kW capacity if wired into my single phase home? Thanks in advance! Jacques Ester
I would say buy an 5kw inverter and add 2 more later for a 3 phase system if needed. BritishRacingGreen
Againstthegrains
For your power tools, if they don't pull too much current, you can get a three phase emulator, which will then convert the single phase 220V back into three phase 380V. Another option for the tools, would be to run the 12KW inverter off the batteries as an island, and then use solar to charge them.
