Kodak OG7.2 power output settings

Good morning

Recently upgraded to a Kodak 7.2kW inverter.  Its being used with 6 x 450 watt panels and 2 x Shoto 5100Wh batteries

Location 01 refers to the Output Source Priority

Have tried SUB and SBU.  On the SUB setting, I notice that the inverter displays "Bypass" all the time during the day.  Currently the load is 335 watts and the combined input of the PV panels is 217 watts

The displayed PV wattage seems low compared to the old inverter.  Is some of the PV input being used to charge the batteries?

On the old inverter, "Bypass" only came on after dark with no solar input

Would you say that the SBU setting is the same as the old inverter

Thanks

It depends on what model the old inverter was. But if it didn't have SUB output priority, then SUB will be different to anything you've had before. It says it's in bypass when the grid is available because it's operating more like a hybrid inverter in this mode; blending PV, battery, and grid. Axpert MKS models, and other models that don't have the high PV voltage solar charger, can't blend grid with anything else.

Yes, looking at the indicators, it states that it is using PV power and Utilty power at same time

There was a 2-hour blackout a while ago, then the indicators showed PV and battery

The old inverter was an Axpert 5kw which I bought in 2016
