Fuenkli
Received this today from the CoCT: "You have been identified as an eligible customer that will move to the proposed Home User tariff on 1 July 2018." The proposed home user tariff is R150/Month and 185.32 c/kWh. Do you think it will be implemented? Would be bad news for customers with PV systems and low electricity consumption

Have had nothing yet, what are the chances that you are identified because your consumption is so low? From what I gathered over the years, the infrastructure maintenance is where they lose the most if everyone goes solar. So this could be there counter move? ___
It will make very little difference to me whether they switch me over or not. I buy 600kwh every month. The total cost to me would be about the same. I wonder what they mean by "eligible". Might be an euphemistic way of saying "we want to move you cause you're a drag on our income".
