hjlinde
Hi there, Trying to understand whether this is normal or not... I have a 5kW Synapse KRM+ inverter - it's wired into DB and all. Everything is working, inverter runs in ECO/Bypass mode - not online mode. Something i've noticed is that, lets say i'm currently drawing 450W continuous in the house - load-shedding kicks in, suddenly the inverter shows the load is 1.2kW in the house, the fans spin up and less than 10s later it goes back to the 450W it was providing previously. Is this normal? If not or if so, what is the reason for it?
madness_za
I've seen similar spikes but because my fridge and freezer are kicking on for a second.

The switching over from battery to line mode may take up to 20ms, enough for some compressors to stop, depending on the size of their flywheel. They then try to restart and that takes a high current. The display of the inverter and Watchpower as well have some time lag after incidents.
