Paulmic
Hi All I had a Synsynk 8kW Inverter installed around 2 months ago. The property is on 3-phase but the budget only allowed 1-phase for the main house, luckily all on 1-phase. Ever since installing the inverter, if I plug in the new CoCT Prepaid meter into a plug in the main house, the Landis Gys P160 S2 wont pair with the main meter, just says "pairing" with a never-ending countdown.. The only way I am able to top up and monitor usage is by plugging in the client unit in the cottage that doesn't run through the inverter and on a separate phase. I'm assuming that there is an antitamper mechanism or something that's preventing the device from pairing. My installer has investigated and cant figure out why this is happening. Is this something I need to log with CoCT? Tks, Paul Edited June 1, 2023 by Paulmic
Prem
Whichever plug point the L+G P160 CIU is attached to should ideally be fed from the Eskom supply, and not via the inverter, I was told
Scorp007
Whichever plug point the L+G P160 CIU is attached to should ideally be fed from the Eskom supply, and not via the inverter, I was told A very well known problem and some variations have been provided on the forum. A plug socket wired from the main incoming power that does not come via the inverter. This socket need not go through the E/L if a label is placed at the socket indicating it's a dedicated socket for same and not protected by E/L. To limit use for normal equipment use a 2A MCB in the DB for same.
