Atom Solar Distributors

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question, but has anyone dealt with the above supplier? I tried researching them and even had a look at Google maps and Google Earth, with no success.

They are based in Ethekweni, KZN.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks Kevin for your response

agreed, this one deserves an inperson visit. No landline, nothing just a mobile number and website. This should be cash and carry only.

I see they have our products listed - We have never had dealings with them ever and they don't have an account with us. I called the number on their website and explained that they are listing our products and they are not an authorized reseller. The lady just hung up the phone. Seems like a scam to me.

Hi there all, i have been SCAMMED by this company out of R16K.

Stupid fool i was and not found this thread earlier.

Orderd a battery, they sent me a legit looking invoice, aske me to pay via EFT, stupid me...

Google maps shows the address as a vacant lot in durban...

Big warning to ANYONE!

STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE!
I have laid a case of fraud with FNB as well as SAPS i really hope to get someting back... R16K is not pocket change...

Hi there, I am truly sorry this happened to you. I really hope you get your money back. Since I asked the question right in the beginning, I bought Google Earth Pro and use that to actually look at every "potential" supplier. If anything looks out of whack, I pass and move to next supplier. All the best to you!

Hi Christiaan, You should not have made a payment, before someone could do a physical drive-by. Everyone on this forum that I spoke to feels that Atom are scammers. I have had no response from them, from the day I posted my question on this forum.

I truly hope they are legit and just VERY bad at communicating....... for your sake!

Best of luck!

These people are definitely scammers. We were scammed of R18000. Please do not do business with them. Once they have your money, the courier that they use... aamco logistics, will send you a message insisting that you must pay R10000 refundable deposit for the insurance to courier the items. They are rogues and you will never smell your money or the products ordered. Please be careful and don't fall prey to these scammers.

Always Google the name of the company and add the word "reviews" e.g. "Atom Distributors Reviews" or "Atom Distributors + hellopeter" ...

Retail Energy is another scam company too. Luckily I did my research before shelling out my money.

We ordered a 5kw Kodak battery from them, did the eft for R32000-00 and never heard from them again.  They dont answer phone calls as the number is engaged.  I then requested another quote from another email and they quoted within 5 minutes.  I then asked them where my battery was i paid for two weeks earlier and never heard from them again.  ATOM SOLAR DISTRIBUTORS ARE THIEVES.
