TTT you're still an amateur.:P

Ya recon ... you should have seen the 200w panel's connection box after I re-wired the 2 panels from parallel to series. :P

If I did not have software to check the volts when I got back down, and back up that fast, that panel would not have lasted much longer.

EDIT: Panel was piping hot, burnt my hand, the other panel "cool" in the midday sun in comparison.

TTT, what was the root cause? There was some bug in the wiring, yes? :P

Root cause ... haste.

The rules I learnt that day:
Rule 1: It is not recommended to alter anything on a blistering hot Saturday midday, when you have to SIT on a metal roof, on top of a double storey house.
Rule 2: Even less advisable to take a break on said hot day, in a air-conditioned room.  (you have to go back up)
Rule 3: And it is never ever advisable, to quench ones thirst, with one Castle Light whilst sitting in the air-conditioned room. (false sense of completion)

:D
