Good day @SilverNodashi,

I see you have responded by PM to some people looking for Pylontech USB3000B 3.5kWh Li-Ion Battery units. I am in the market for one as well as a compatible inverter. The current recommendation has been that I use a Mecer Axpert Hybrid 5KVA 80A MPPT device.

Please advise on sources and/or pricing for these for me as well. I am based in Sandton. The best price I have found for the pair is R27k.

I will subsequently be looking to add 14x375W solar panels to this as well in 3-9 months, as well as remote web monitoring for the set up. Any guidance there would be appreciated.

Keen to hear from others, as well, if you have good leads/info on this.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Forum Members.

I'm also in the market for the PylonTech batteries, specifically the US3000B version.

I have managed to give my lead-acid batteries a second life thanks to some good advice on the forum but now I think it is time to start planning ahead. Any advice from members would be appreciated especially with respect to combining these batteries with an Axpert parallel setup (I suspect @Chris Hobson may be running something like this).

If you are able and willing to supply feel free to PM me or respond here.

I'm hoping @SilverNodashi and others are still following this thread, it's a little old but not too old I hope.

I bought a couple of US3000s from solar-shop.co.za a couple of weeks ago. These guys are fantastic, highly recommended.

As for the batteries, they are phenomenal. Turned out 2 x US3000s can carry us through the night comfortably (still around 50% left in the morning when solar kicks in).

I have just purchased a 3rd unit, to cover us in winter and during poor weather, but also to reduce DoD for battery life - want to look after my little money-generating technological marvels 😆

Those poor guys... I wonder to what extent their business is affected by that Salanje guy. I would be livid if I took the time to build a brand and someone did that to me...
