I am looking for an air to water standalone heat pump suitable for retrofitting to an existing geyser.

What reputable brands are available is SA?

I looking for a good value that has local after sales backing if at all possible.

Knowing what brands to stay away from will also be useful.

Hi Phil. I think you are Lucky, why? Because water temperature of your bore hole is the same than comfort temperature of a House.

Then, you can install a heat exchager for Heat seassons and a heat pump for cold seassons.

All brands I know work well, because that kind of machines uses yo be developments of Big brands.

When you install i'd be glad if you show real COP data of your system.
