Wind turbines connected with solar to an Axpert inverter

You can so, connect the wind turbine directly to the batteries if the turbine has  3AC wires, you only need a rectifier to convert 3 phase AC to DC. But it only is adecuate for small turbines. In this case you need also to control the surplus of energy and some hardware to derive it...

I have a small turbine connected in this manner, no problems until now perhaps because is a dreadful turbine (😣)

I have a 1000 watt HYE wind turbine. On it's plate it says 110 V. It has 3 wires and generates hundreds of volts on all 3 wires if I turn it with a drilling machine.

I don't have a charge controller for it but I do have a Morningstar TS 45 that can divert to a dump load.

I have a Axpert King 5kw and would like to connect the turbine to the batteries.

Can anyone give me some advice on this HYE turbine.

No. Windturbes charge differently from solar panels and it might damage the MPPT. You would need a wind change controller, and I am not sure if it will cause problems, or damage to / with the Axpert.

Greetings Sir, Please advise me whether you have a solution to this challenge since I would like to connect a 500W 48v dc VAWT thru ito OWN MPPT controller into an existing 100A.hr LiFePO4 battery being charged from 2.6kWatt of PV panel power, this battery is driving a 5kW axpert inverter. Many thanks. Alan
