How do you turn off a Sunsynk 5kWh Battery?

When I press and hold the front button for a few seconds it turns off. But then a few seconds later it turns on again.

When the installers came to change something they couldn't turn the battery off this way. They had to unscrew a panel on the top to access a switch.

Might add it's been making a buzzing noise for a few seconds each day and lately a click sound like a trip switch.

Is this normal or is the unit faulty?

The battery was eventually removed and sent for repair. Getting it back next week.

When they fetched it the tech said this is not installed correctly, that the fuses should pull out with the plastic covers. Is this safe?

The fuse disconnect fuse retainer clips is either broken off or assembled incorrectly is the disconnect by any chance a Onesto. No it is not safe if you need to disconnect the battery in case of emergency it is not possible.
