Error 32 on Sunmart model MAX-8000W

Hello everyone,

I upgraded my firmware  with  280V named version to 90.09, it  worked but the power of the input solar  was bad.

After Downgraded with First Release for Axpert max 8KW  (with removable Display )  (Based on stable 90.06) the inverter failed and stuck.

Now the inverter is failed with Error 32 and U01 and I haven't idea of previous version of firmware I had.

Please , If some one can help me for recovery the system?

U01 means no USB disk is detected. So it thinks it's trying to do a USB update. Are you in fact using the USB update method?

It sounds like 280V is too high for your panels. If your panels' Vmp is ever over 280V, you won't get maximum PV power.

That sounds like a reasonable one to try. I think you just need to retry the firmware update. I would use the RS-232 and PC method; I've never had success with the USB method. You also get to see progress; I don't know if the USB method shows progress. But if USB worked for you the first time, I guess it should work again.

There is a small chance that you have a corrupted main firmware that even so has the marker in the right place, so the bootloader is running it and it crashes. In that unlikely case, you'll have to start the upload within a small window while the bootloader is still running, which is soon after turning on the inverter. So in this unlikely case, timing is important. See the upload instructions under "if you think your inverter is bricked" for details (if needed). Most likely, you just need to start the firmware upload again.

I used a original cable rj45/rs232, with  adapter usb to rs232. Unfortunetly I haven't a PC with RS 232

I do the upgraded with reflash many times during the boot , and I got at the end of process "updata fail, you must retry!" I never ear the fans of inverter work, like the first time I did the upgrade.

Wich solutions remains to do,

should I find a computeur with RS232?

or this home harness is enought?

Question: during the first upgraded, I put to Off the screen button  with AC and batterie On.

Why I need a switch on these harness ?

Because you're bypassing the display, and the display has the load switch on it. Without that, you can't even turn the inverter on or off.

Thank you, so much Coulomb,

I fix my problem with the RS232 cable,

Err, you're welcome. For whatever it is that I did 🙂

I don't understand I upload the firmware 90.06, if didn't mistake.

With full sun, I haven't power compare I had before.

the mppt not turn full.

PV1: 219V, 0,2A,  64W

PV2: 221V, 0,1A , 30W

It's full sun ,  I have 10 PV of 410Wc  5 pannels each sting .

I expect to put 10 pannels more .

May I have advice,

wich firmware I should use? to get a better power

Do you think, is not too hight to put 466V open circuits on each string?

I fear with china products? may be I need to keep some security .

I'm satisfy of Axpert max I

Ah. 5 panels in each string is very low voltage. Vmp under ideal conditions is probably about 180 V, depending on your exact panel specifications.

I would suggest Georg's 100 V version of 90.06, available here.

Or explore the various 8 kW non-twin patched firmware options here: https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=98208#mppt_8kW

The 175 V versions might work OK or even better. Unfortunately, each installation has to experiment to find the best minimum voltage.

Hopefully one day we won't have to choose the right one, and either factory or patched firmware will work on any panel configuration.
