They are currently connected up to a Kodak 7.2kW inverter.

Giter G2500-48 is the perfect entry level Li-ion battery for any small-medium residential installation. With an incredible DoD of 95% and a charge/discharge power of 1200W, the Giter Li-ion has great performance. Some more features that can be expected from the Giter range:

  • Modular design, easy to upgrade your bank up to 6 batteries
  • 2.56kWh
  • Safe design ensure optimal safety
  • Easy to intall
  • 0.5C charge/discharge rate (1200W)
  • CAN and RS-485 communication

4000 Cycles*

* Under specif test conditions.( very fine print)

This is  Li-Ion batteries new they are normally good for 500 cycles. What is the cycle count of your batteries? I just want to ensure that prospective buyers is aware that the batteries your are selling is not lifep04.(Lfp)

Not by any measure am i trying to discredit your sale just want to make sure that buyers can make an informed desicion should they purchase these batteries from you.

Always interesting that people that say "Not by any measure am i trying to discredit your sale.." normally have bad things to say" or try to get other people not to buy the items?

Anyway according to the specs from segen.i bought them new from segen, used for 2 years with loadshedding :

Yes it is a cheaper option, i paid R11k each new for them (2.58kWh each), i never stated they are other than what is in specs.

I think for transparency one has to indicate these batteries are only compatible with Kodak OG inverters from what I have seen over time.

yes if you want to use the comms, i have a Kodak 7.2kW and works well, i just want to add some more kWh and the giters are not for sale anymore unfortunately. They will still work with most inverters without comms by setting the voltages manually.

They served me well.

The pic is on the battery itself so maybe you can tell us? :)

Anyway sorry i was i bit harsh, but we all have our days.

I think at some stage LI-ION was used as a broader word to say Lithium family, i do recall when i bought them i spoke to Segen and they confirmed LIFePO4.

If i understand correctly most rechargeable lithium batteries are part op the Lithium Iron family.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium-ion_battery

        What is a lithium-ion battery?
A lithium-ion battery is a rechargeable battery that uses lithium ions as the primary component of its electrolyte.

How long will a lithium-ion battery last?
Typically, a lithium-ion battery lasts between 2000 to 5000 charge cycles.

Is lithium battery the same as lithium-ion battery?
No, lithium battery refers to a family of batteries with lithium as a component, while lithium-ion is a subset within this family.

What is a disadvantage of lithium batteries?
Some disadvantages include sensitivity to high temperatures, risk of thermal runaway, high cost, and gradual loss of capacity over time.

What are the 3 types of lithium batteries?
The three types are Lithium-ion (Li-ion), Lithium Polymer (Li-Po), and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4).

What are the 3 types of batteries?
The three general types of batteries are lithium, nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), and lead-acid.

        Is a lithium-ion battery rechargeable?
                Yes, lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable.

How do you charge a lithium-ion battery?
Charge it before it completely discharges, and avoid exposing it to high temperatures during charging.

What is another name for a lithium battery?
Depending on the composition, lithium batteries may be referred to as Lithium Cobalt Oxide (LiCoO2) batteries or Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries, among others.

Can you overcharge a lithium-ion battery?
Modern lithium-ion batteries generally have built-in circuitry to prevent overcharging. However, it’s best to unplug once fully charged to avoid heat buildup.
