Herbie. Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Good day. I bought a used Kodak inverter. Is there any way how I can switch it on and see the settings. It is not connected to solar or a batt. I tried 220v on the inverter input but nothing. Thank you. Quote
ibiza Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) you must connect the battery not AC 220v. this is how inverter works Edited November 18, 2024 by ibiza Quote

ibiza Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 it won't work. inverter needs a 48V DC current in order to work Quote
ShaunH Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Hello, You should be able to power the inverter off of just AC in. Last I checked, in order to change some settings, Kodak specifically states to ONLY power the inverter off of AC in. The 5.5 might be different, but both the 3.6 and 7.2 work like this. Quote
Herbie. Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 Thanks but I don't understand. Is it ON or Off. I checked mine not switching ON with only "Acc in" but it did switch On with only the batt connected. I understand if you said ON. How can I set the max charging current if I have to connect it to the batt that it does not damage the batt, switch the Acc in, pvc in, and Acc out Off and do all the settings before switching the rest on. ShaunH Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 If your unit does not turn on with only AC in, then, yes, you should: - Connect batteries (ONLY) - Change settings - Connect PV / Utility Quote
