Infinisolar super 4k battery voltage drop

Recommended Posts

Hi.

We have an Infinisolqr Super 4k installed with an AGM battery bank.

The inverter is set to charge the battery from both grid and PV.

Every night, the battery voltage drops to 51.7v from 54v. The display also shows no charge currwnt to the batteries.

What can be the issue?

51.7 V (12.9 V per nominally 12 V module) is the rested voltage of a fully charged lead-acid battery.

54.0 V (13.5 V per nominally 12 V module) is the float voltage, when being float charged.

So it looks like the inverter has decided that the battery is full, and doesn't need further charging. I would think that it would continue float charging if utility charging is enabled, but I don't know the Infinis at all well.

So it doesn't seem to be ideal, but it's no cause for great alarm. Hopefully someone who does know the Infinis well can tell you how to get the machine to continue float charging the battery.

Your AC charging windows may not be open (Restricted to a certain window of time). Please take a screenshot of your settings as programmed with Solarpower and post here.

We'll need the settings from "My Power Management" as well as "Device Parameters"

That, or it's set to run Solar -> Batteries -> Grid.
