JacquesVDM
Hi everyone, Planning to go off-grid with the following: Axpert 5kw inverter (already bought), 12x 335W Canadian panels, ~12kw Lithium battery pack. Can't decide on going with 4x 3.5kw Pylontech or 12kw Blue Nova. What are the negatives (if there are any ) of choosing one above the other? At the moment I'm leaning towards the Blue Nova with a 10 year warranty. Before comparing the cycle life of AGM vs Lithium, I wanted to go with Omnipower. But it seems that although the Lithium is much more expensive, it would cost less at the end of the day (because of the cycle life). Thanks Jacques
DeepBass9
Remember to budget for a generator. Not to say there is anything wrong with your proposed system, but a reasonable to good generator will cost you the same price as one battery. When there is a week or 2 of cloudy weather and your batteries go from 90% to 80 to 70 to 60 to bleeeeeeeep, then it is nice to spent R100 on diesel to charge them up again. On the other hand, the BlueNova can discharge at higher Ampere. Cycle-wise the Pylontech can last upto 16 years, though it's not guaranteed for 16 years. The BlueNova's are locally manufactured with local support.

Thanks, Already have a generator, so that part is sorted On 2019/04/12 at 9:15 PM, SilverNodashi said: The Pylontech's are more economical than BlueNova. DeepBass9
Can you still get 275W panels? I thought most suppliers had 330W panels these days. I've had trouble finding 300W at a good price to extend my system. Edited April 15, 2019 by DeepBass9

VP01
Hello, please could anyone advise on a reputable seller in the Durban area, looking to get 3.5kwh Pylontechs and solar panels. Right now it doesn't seem like anyone has stock either, so would be great if someone knew when more would be available.
