November 30, 20196 yr Hi guys I have a problem with my 5Kva inverter which having a 09 error bus soft start failed I tried to disconnect the battery cable when i had switched off the inverter then one of my leads had a contact with a metal surface and spark came out ...but i have opened the inverter and i dont cee anything defective .. May you please help
December 1, 20196 yr 12 hours ago, Pride said: but i have opened the inverter and i don't see anything defective .. What you should be looking for are the battery-side MOSFETS. Note how they are recessed under some heatsink fins: Those heatsinks are jammed against the right hand end of the case (in the photo below; see the orange rectangle; ignore the yellow text and lines): So you won't see the MOSFETs unless you use a dentist mirror, or possibly you can see them by looking through the ventilation holes on that side of the case. There is a small chance that the damage is to the IGBTs, which are under the fins of the other heatsink at the left of the above photo. Note that the damage may not be as obvious as in the photo above (though it certainly can be); I've seen IGBTs whose only visible flaw was a hairline crack in the package. So inspect carefully before you decide that there's nothing wrong with the inverter hardware. If your inverter-charger model is the older type with the black heatsink on top, the Solar Charge Controller electronics will be in a different place, but the MOSFET and IGBT locations are the same. December 12, 20196 yr Has anyone the schematics of this inverter-charger? My inverter do not show anything on the display, but the 2 fans are on.

Most models are broadly similar with the exception of the Solar Charge Controller in some models. 9 hours ago, Dan-Mihai LUCA said: My inverter do not show anything on the display, but the 2 fans are on. That sounds like the connector to the display is loose, or in the wrong place. Any LEDs on? Depending on the model, they may use a different connector.
September 4, 20205 yr Hello Just wondering if anyone knows why a MPP LV5048 Split Phase 120V/240V output 5kW 48V would have a error 09. Replaced the motherboard with new one and still have problems. Thanks!

I assume that this is a 145V max PV model, correct? Does this model have two main boards? With the two DC to AC converters? It seems likely that if one blows up, the other would as well.
February 26, 20215 yr Does any one have the schematic diagram of the inverter? If yes, please share it will be helpful in troubleshooting.
September 19, 20214 yr We returned the inverter within seven months of purchase with this error and the supplier yelled at me that the inverter was overload!!! We only used 0.3kw with only a energy saving refridgerator and a deepfeezer connected to the solar. How or where do i go for complaint
May 18, 20224 yr Author Are there alternatives to the UC3845A from Ti. The delivery times are currently at Mouser at 09-2023. Can you take something from STM, e.g. UC3845BD1 or someone else? (component U16 on the boards)
