June 29, 20196 yr Hi all, My inverter has lost it's internet connection. It still presents a wifi node of it's own, and I can connect to that, log in and fire up the setup wizard. I have tried using three different wifi networks available to me. The wizard can see these networks and all have an acceptable signal strength. I have double checked the passwords by means of having my phone "forget" all of them and then reconnecting the phone - which means I have to confirm the password. In each case I complete the setup wizard, restart the system and then an informed that the inverter cannot connect to the specified wi-fi router (with a suggestion that the password may be incorrect). Any ideas as to how I can restore the connection? Edited June 29, 20196 yr by Bobster missing word, thus bad grammar
June 29, 20196 yr Author PS - I see quite a few folks have had similar problems. I went as far as exposing the wifi reset button and giving that a push. Nothing happened. The WIFI LED did not flash. I then tried holding that button in for a count of 20. Same results. I tried doing a reset to the factory settings - which seemed to to work - but I end up back at square one, it won't connect to any of the available wifi systems
June 29, 20196 yr I found that when resetting the WiFi you need to switch off the AC supply to the inverter. Should only be powered via PV or battery. Maybe update the WiFi firmware?

In the end the installer restarted the inverter, and it started sending to SEMS portal again.
July 6, 20196 yr Author OK... back on line. The installer updated the WiFi firmware. Now EZ manage won't work unless it's connected directly to the inverter. Sigh... but the portal is more important to me because it allows me to see what is used and when, and to make adjustements and measure their impact.

July 7, 20196 yr Author So I spent some time this morning trying to hook it up again. Two things have changed 1) Overnight the wifi lamp changed from a constant burn, to flashing. Two flashes then pause. Two then pause and so on. 2) The firmware has actually been regressed. It was 1.0.8. Now is 1.0.3. It can see the wifi devices in my house, accepts a password and then declines to connect. I've tried restarting and reloading via 10.10.100.253, no luck. Some documentation says that the inverter should be running on PV only when you configure wif-fi. This makes me nervous. Does that mean I have to disconnect batteries as well? Disconnecting mains is one thing, but batteries I'm not so confident about.
