Solarphile
I just received a call from the Mrs back home who said that a few seconds after turning the inverter on, there was a hard knocking noise that came from inside. There was no load as it was just turned on and the batteries are fully charged. It’s the Devel LPT 6000-248. Any ideas what would cause that? Unfortunately I’ll only be home much later tonight to check it.

Only noise I will expect from any inverter at that stage. (Wild Guess)
Solarphile
Perhaps relays, another repair guy suggested the same thing. I’m going to open up and see if anything is loose or maybe a dry joint on the board. This is a really hard knock. As if a little man is hitting inside with a 4lb hammer!! The whole inverter jumps. Definitely not normal! I heard it once myself around 3 months ago. But it never happened again until now.

Maybe its time to let him out. Nope all jokes aside, sorry to hear, hope you sort it out soon... ___
