Clint
E I have been looking at induction stoves (hobs) for a while now and found them to be very expensive except for the Snappy chef. I hope the price comes comes down for the 4 plate ones. The best I have found was the AEG Check this out http://www.inductioncooker.co.za/
Energy-Jason
Great one! SABS approved at a good price. Thanks for this. I'm quite excited about running one of these of a battery and Solar. Doesn't seam like much of a power draw. What you guys think? E
Wetkit
Ok, I had a look at induction cooking some time back, but just the fact that I had to buy all new pots and pans did not do it for me Seems like the smallest SnappyChef uses around 800W to 900W. That is 75Amp @ 12V - That will pretty much kill any battery very quickly. At 48V the amps drop to nearly 19Amp, which is way more acceptable. I still prefere to cook with gas, but that is just me.
