Philip Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) Goodday. I only use the inverter on my lights during loadshedding and the 200Ah batteries is charged from Escom.(100Ah x 2x12V) My Axpert 3kva inverter is set to switch off at 50% discharge. If the power failure is long, the batteries capacity is not what it used to be and switches off. When the power comes back on again, I have to manually reset the inverter before it recovers. Is there a setting that allows for automatic recovering without a hard reset? I could not find such a setting or I missed it. Any recommendations? Edited January 10, 2020 by Philip Quote

I presume that the battery voltage gets so low that the inverter enters fault mode with fault code 04. That would be why the output cuts off. My reading is that if AC-in is present (Eskom power is back), then the inverter should automatically restart after 10 seconds. What firmware version are you running? When Eskom returns, does the AC-in icon (sine wave in a circle) appear? Philip 1 Quote

Philip Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 Sorry your right. Wrote faster than doing maths. Still more or less 2400 W of which only 1200W is available before cut off... Quote
Philip Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 Coulomb. Thanks for the reply. I will monitor it now with what you asked and exactly check what the status is. I have no idea which firmware. Hiw fo I check. Is it in the menu? This inverter was bought about 5 years back when I was overseas and it was only installed about 3 years back when building my house. I have split the lights and plugs on the DB so that only the lights (and internet and 1 TV) runs from the inverter. I think it only has a RS 232 interface. Quote

I suspect that you're using a lot more than 50% of what's left of your battery. The inverter doesn't know the state of charge of the battery, only the terminal voltage. Setting 29 (Low battery voltage cutoff) is usually set quite low (the default is 21.0 V), which is nearly dead flat. 27 minutes ago, Philip said: I have no idea which firmware. Hiw fo I check. Is it in the menu? Yes, it's available from the LC Display. Keep pressing the up or down button until you see something like U1 XX YY (Xs and Ys will be digits). XX.YY is the version number. "U1" is the code for the main version number. Quote
KB1 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Hi, I have the same problem with inverter staying in standby mode, even after Eskom is restored. Axpert Max 11kw with firmware 78.05.12.21 Can you please suggest a firmware where this was fixed? Quote
