TimNiekerk Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Hi, I have just had my first inverter/solar solution installed. Axpert Mks 3K 24V Plus Inverter (Manual and Specs Uploaded) 4 x 370W PV Panels 2 x 12V 260Ah Deep Cycle Battery (Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) AGM batteries) My question is how do I configure the output source priority to get the most efficiency out of 1st PV, then 2nd Utility and then last the batteries? I want to ensure I have my batteries fully charged for loadshedding and want to minimize charging cycles and use of batteries. My assumption is that I should set: 01 - SOL And then set: 12 - Which option do I select to ensure I use the least amount of battery before switching back to Utility? 23.5V? And set: 16 to SNU to ensure it charges as fast as possible ready for loadshedding. Both PV and Mains will then charge the batteries. I am more concerned about having fully charged batteries than the cost of using Eskom supplied electricity to charge. Much appreciated for any assistance as I learn on this new journey. Thanks Tim Axpert MKS-MKS-1-5KVA manual_compressed.pdf Quote

But I think a sensible setting would be 25.0 V (12.5 V per 12 V module). That's still a quite healthy state of charge. Quote 16 to SNU to ensure it charges as fast as possible ready for loadshedding. Yes. Thanks for all the information; it's a refreshing change. TimNiekerk 1 Quote
