Does anybody have experience operating a vm iii with solar panels and no battery ( essentially like a grid tied inverter ), are there any negatives to that idea, as I have 3 phase grid supply, have a small solar inverter as essential loads back up on one of the phases.

i looked at grid tied without feeding the gtid, the negatives I think, are, no pv when the grid is down/load shedding , costly engineering reports/beauracratic jungle for CoCT, unfortunately a proper hybrid is out of reach for me.

This is similar to the MPP 3024GK model and for that model it does work you just need to ensure your Voc is more than 240v
