How do I check Individual Pylontech Battery data and can I integrate my solar installation with home automation?

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello all,

I don't know if this has been asked before or not but just want to throw it out there if someone can redirect me to previous responses or help with some answers.

For the pylontech batteries connected to a Victron Quattro inverter, I can only see the overall battery bank capacity on the color control GX, is there a way out there to view each battery capacity, state of health and other individual battery data?

Secondly, has anyone tried integration of their solar installation with any home automation systems such as contronl4, Creston etc?

Many thanks in advance.

DannyK.

As far as the battery info I don't have pylontechs, but the VenusOS dashboard just give the  basics. You set the monitor for your batteries, and by default my custom bank is monitored by the Multiplus. Perhaps changing this to be the Pylontech if your is not set the them might give more information, but I doubt it. (Menu -> Settings -> System Setup -> Battery Monitor)

Thanks For sharing @Louisvdw.

I also contacted Pylontech on the subject and their response is that the communication via the CAN bus cannot monitor each battery details but it is possible via the RS485 which is not currently compatible with Victron color Control GX.
