Natal_Nic Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) Assembled using high-efficiency Mono PERCIUM cells, the half-cell configuration of the PV module offers that advantage of higher power output, better temperature coefficients, reduced effects from cell shading, reduced risks of developing hot spots as well as an enhances tolerance for mechanical loads. 144 half-cut cell monocrystalline percium solar module. Improved lifespan and efficiency with mono percium cells. Excellent low-light performance. High Output Power Low temperature coefficient Reduced shading effects Improved mechanical load tolerance Certified to withstand high wind loads (2400pa) and mechanical loads (5400pa). 40mm naturally anodised aluminium frame. IP68 rated junction box. 1500V Maximum String Voltage. 1200mm solar cable and a pair of MC4 connectors. IEC 61215, IEC61730 Certified ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems JA Solar 25 Year linear power output guarantee and 12 year structural warranty. High Efficiency: up to 20.4% module efficiency. I also see that Art Solar is selling JA panels these days as well. (Currently out of stock) (Edit) Hmm. The only panel they have in stock now is a JA Edited July 29, 2020 by Louisvdw Quote
phil.g00 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Bit of a pity. I don't know how much this virus is involved, but Artsolar was campaigning for tariffs on imported panels not so long ago. I didn't agree with that, but I have supported them with some large purchases in the past. Now, it appears they have become agents for there own competition. I don't like to see it, but It certainly looks like they are winding down their manufacturing side. Quote

Its sad but true... it seems Not to get too much into politics, but it is also somewhat predictable. Competing labour-wise with China is a tough call. China also subsidised those manufacturing plants which made it even harder for our guys to compete. The proposed solution (this side) to levy some kind of tax on those imports would have helped, but ultimately that is also the wrong answer. Interfering with the free market usually bites you later on. Then again, we've been doing it in our car industry for years... can't import a cheap second hand vehicle from Japan... no no no, that would kill our second-hand market. Jaco De Jongh 1 Quote

More of their own panels in stock again. Kilowatt Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I know its an old post, but the company I work for has just awarded Art solar a contract for 1700 x 450w panels. Hopefully Artsolar will continue to find ways to stay operational. Quote
