Ian Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 (edited) Hi all I have a Victron based system powering our off-grid farmhouse. At the moment the inverter is a 48/3000 Multiplus, installed 5 years ago. I'd like to either add another 48/3000 in parallel, or put in a new 48/5000 Multiplus. The parallel option is 1st choice, as I like the redundancy it offers. But i will have to source a unit with the same chip apparently... How do I find the existing unit's chip no? Can I get it off the remote console, or do I need to open it up? Does anyone have experience with what the chances are of finding a compatible unit 5 years down the line? The unit's VE Bus firmware is 2620424 Thanks in advance Ian Edited July 31, 2020 by Ian Add Ve Bus Firmware Quote

They are no longer manufactured though (stopped in 2017 iirc), so you may have to shop around for old stock or second hand. Quote
