Anish
These seem to be reportedly good quality and solid BMS but I can’t seem to find any communication interface for Growatt/Axpert (or any other inverter). It’s has an RS485 and RS232 interface. Using voltage criteria to manage these is certainly a travesty. Has anyone been able to get their inverters to properly manage SOC on these? The local distributor seems uninterested Edited August 17, 2020 by Anish
jykenmynie
@plonkster, can a BMV-712 be used with a Growatt or only in combination with ICC (which I don’t think is available to Growatts).

Well of course you can install the BMV and get good data from it, but if you actually want to use the data to control an inverter, then you'll need some kind of middleware. Now some of the Growatt's are work-alikes, so it could be that ICC can indeed control their priority setting... I don't know and frankly I don't care too much either
jykenmynie
In that case, it might be worthwhile to ask the guys from ICC if they intend on supporting the Growatts and then you can use a BMV with it.
