Hello everyone, can i use the Axpert King remote display firmware 02.49 alongside the Axpert King main firmware 71.93?

Yes you must. Upgrade the MCU first then DSP. Good luck with this. It can be frustrating for some.

Thanks Plaashaas - it was quite frustrating, cant seem to get the Bluetooth working, so i am hoping this update will work in getting it to work

What was the issue with the Bluetooth? Are you using an iPhone?

i updated the MCU first as you said, and that went through succesfully, but the file i downloaded does not contain the file to update the DSP - any idea where i can find the

dps.hex file?

The inverter is now on 71.93 and the remote module MCU is done, i just need the file to update the DSP

If you have U1 71.93 and U2 02.49, then you are done. The same reflash tool (it seems) can be used for the MCU or the DSP. You would normally only ever press one or the other button. 71.93 is the DSP firmware in the inverter.

Hi Coulomb - thank you for the reply - after the update i see that the panel is now "dead", the  is off but i can still access it via my serial cable - must i not perhaps do the DSP part as well to complete the upgrade? i cant see if the MCU upgrade was successful  (i assume it was?)

If the display remains dead after the update has been completed then re-run the update.  The display should power up once the update has been succesfully completed

oddly enough, i reverted back to 02.40 and the panel came back online, it appears that with 02.49 it just stays "dead"

That's interesting. It seems that the display firmware doesn't have to be running for serial commands to "pass through" to the DSP in the inverter, and the responses back again. I didn't expect that. [ Edit: I'm now not sure I believe that commands do pass through. ]

With the display dead, the MCU update has not worked, as others have mentioned. As @Bloubul7 suggests, repeat the 02.49 update until the display is working.

Gentlemen, i thank you for your advice, after trying the firmware update four times, the panel finally came back online and it is working as it should, but not the Bluetooth... lol

Thanking you kindly for all your input, i really learned a lot today  😁

I am running 2.49 and 71.93 and no issues with the bluetooth. It must be something else. Are you trying to use the watchpower app?

Hi Plaashaas

yes, i downloaded the watchpower app, and from the phone, it detects the inverter and the pairing can be made, however it says that an app is required to manage the device, but from within the app nothing is detected

Try deleting the paired device.  Do not pair the inverter, open the watchpower and select it within the app

Thanks Bloubul 7 - let me go do just that 😁

Did you ever pair it with another phone? I think I have read somewhere that it can only pair with one device.

Hi Plaashaas - no, i only used my phone, i would have tried another phone if i had one... lol

pls any help me reflash tool for upgrade axpert king 3.2 inverex this is error 32 but i have reflash v71.97 it is 5.2 kw

Axpert firmware version 71.97 is for 5000 W models only; not 5.2 kW, and not 3.2 kW. Though I suppose that there might be a special Inverex version of 71.97.

Inverex seem to have a special arrangement with Voltronic, where they get a slightly different display and metal case, and the power ratings are slightly higher. I assume therefore that they require special firmware.

What are the circumstances under which you are seeing warning code 32?

Did you actually attempt to flash a 3.2 kW machine with firmware version 71.97 for Axpert Kings?

then remove able display has gone

The removable display is the same for Axpert King and Axpert VM III, 5kW and 3kW models. I have no idea whether non-Inverex removable display firmware will work with an Inverex display however.

If you have a known Inverex removable display firmware, then you can try to update the firmware even though it appears to be bricked (non responsive). You probably need the removable display working in order to reflash the main inverter firmware.

Wait: are you saying that you never changed the removable display firmware? If so, can you reflash to the previous main inverter firmware?

You may be able to flash bypassing the removable display, I've never tried it. WARNING! The pinout for the display to inverter RJ-45 port is NOT the same as the regular RS-232 port, so you'd need an adapter. I'm pretty sure I published the details somewhere.
