I need to prevent my 2 x 5.5kw Sunsynks from tripping my ecolec prepaid.

Any advice?

You might need to increase the zero export value. What is it currently set to?

Hi guys. I am planning to install a Sunsynk at my new house (had one at the old house).  Does anyone know whether this specific model of prepaid Hexing split meter is known to trip with incidental grid feed-in?

It’s not always easy to prevent the negative spikes. Even with the zero export set to 200w, at times I see negative spikes of over a kw.

Thankfully my meter does not trip.

You should look at the solarman app and look at the graphs for the grid feedback or try to see what happens when the meter trips.

How often is it tripping. I have heard that some meters allow you to disable the tamper detection that cause the tripping.

Any thoughts on my settings here.

it depends on what you are trying to achieve. Is the 20% SoC enough to get you through a power failure or loadshedding.

I have it set lower during the day but by evening I need a bit more battery to last me through the night of the power fails.

you have limit to load enabled. This means that you will not be feeding back into the non essential loads. If this is what you want, then it will also help lower the grid feedback.

Can I see your settings?
