I too have 4 x 100ah that's already getting tired and looking for a buyback company that gives a fair price.

Its only been 14 months on the stride 100ah deep cycle batteries and i can really notice that they are not storing much energy anymore, sould have gone for Trojans.
however as my first bank is probably best to learn on cheap batteries before buying real batteries :)

FWIW, some battery companies expect the old batteries and if there are none, they may add a fee.

They recycle the batteries themselves to keep the cost lower.

Wet or Dry? I'm assuming wet, I seem to remember a Trojan T105's scrap value is around R250 and since it weighs about 30kg that would be bang in the ballpark.

Yes wet. It's too risky to expose of the acid yourself.
