Carl j got a reaction from zsde in BMS troubles - jbd-up16s010-l16s-100a
Hi @Scorp007 - after the url was not working for days on end,  finally this page loaded, and I read the contents (only page 4 - the rest wont load) with great  interest.  ( https://diysolarforum.com/threads/anybody-tried-new-jk-bms-with-inverter-communication-support.68964/page-4)
The symptoms reported by the guy testing the  Growatt and Pylontech combination with the strange behaviour for fully charging and then not charging until almost completely discharged are very famliar, Previously I have had mand days where my battery completely discharges in the afternoon while i have the best sun orientation, but the Growatt inverter seem to refuse to charge the battery.

At least I feel a bit more sane with my issue, not why I'm unable to load any other pages from the diysolarforum, hoping for a solution on the last page.

I will try to get support from the relevant manufacturers... .

    Thank you @Scorp007 and @zsde

I am relieved to hear that there are good experiences with the JDK BMS !
The Growatt seems to have 2 presets for CAN, I tested both, and the first one works better than the second (think the second one is for pylontech). One reason why I don't think the issue is with the CAN protocol is that the Indicator lights showing SOC mirror what I see in the Logs from the Inverter.

I think I will try the option to run it on user mode 2 as per ZSDE's suggestion, as this would then eliminate the CAN as a source of problems, then i can concentrate on the remaining mystery.

I'll provide feedback in a few days
