June 7, 20224 yr Good day, I am charging one Growatt Hope 3.3kwh lithium battery from a Growatt inverter model Growatt SPF-5000TL HVM and six Canadian 365W panels as a backup to beat load shedding. When fully charged (by solar in daytime or utility at night) the battery powers the household for 5 to 8 hours. The system was installed as new on 17 January 2022. The panels charge the battery in quick time, about two hours from 40% to 100%. I would like to connect a second identical battery to the system, any comments as to whether this is feasible and possible complications will be appreciated. I visited a friend in Vereeniging on the weekend, he is charging two 4.8kwh lithium batteries using six identical panels to mine and his system seems to be performing very well.
