Size of PV String

Featured Replies

I have a 5kw SNA Luxpower inverter, 3.61kw Greenrich lithium battery. System working 100%. My daily use is 150 to 300w. This usage is for fridges, lights, wifi's, tv's laptop, etc. We're also able to use washing machine, hair dyer for short periods, micro as well when needed. At 300w usage, and 4 hrs loadshedding, battery drops to 60% and recharges fully within 2 hrs.

I want to add PV panels. Looking at 555w Jingo panel. Am I correct with the following calc?: 4 panels, 2.2kw at 70% should recharge battery battery in 2 hours from 60%, under good sunny conditions? Or should I add 2x555w, totalling 6 panels? Is this overkill?
