Battery equalization function to optimize battery performance and extend life. www.solarflaregreen.co.za The system was put together to run everything in my house during the day and use municipal during the night (some things used timers to turn off at night), batteries were only used to balance the load to discharge as little as possible, they will have at least another 3 - 5 years of good performance left based on the spec sheets. I used gas geysers and gas burners for cooking, you could use this system totally independent from the grid but you would need to add some more batteries dependent on usage load.
