February 22, 20242 yr Hi All, I am selling my home in Cape Town. It has a grid tied system, prepaid meter, no feedback, all duly registered, including PR-Eng signoff, CoC, and a contract with the city I had to sign in 2019/2020. My understanding is that the contract needs to be transferred to the new owner, but don't know if this is still a requirement given the setup. My conveyencing company hasn't done this before so I am going to have to sort it out, but they would like to know the requirements. I will have to have it re-CoC'd as the original one is now 'expired'. Anyone done this, and know what the procedure is? I'd also be interested to know if the requirements are different in a feedback scenario with a bi-directional meter. I will be calling CoCT in the morning, but any input would be appreciated. I don't want this to hold up the sale.
