Fluctuating PV power in PowMr inverter

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

This PowMr 5500 48V has been in operation for 3 years. It is supplied by three strings which are overclocked/overrated by 50% into one MPPT input. It has started to intermittently (10 seconds to about a minute) produce up to a thousand additional PV watts without a change in load.

It will also fluctuate to zero watts and return to normal when the inverter is close to the max load. It then remains steady at full load. I have checked the field connections and I believe everything is in order.

I have attached a video of my SA screen during this fluctuation.

I am concerned a component failure is imminent - or could there be a problem in the array causing this?

I would be thankful for any feedback/personal experience with this problem.

Thanks!
