Grid Tied Commercial Application

Featured Replies

Hi,

So I am a Noob, yet considering installing a Grid Tied solar system for my factory. It is a capital intensive project so I plan on doing it as follows:

1. Purchase and install the roof rails and associated accessories (on which the solar panels rest).

2. Purchase a few Canadian 405w panels (perhaps 5 to begin with) and install on roof top. (I need to install approx 335 panels in total)

3. Purchase the Huawei Sun 2000 60ktl Inverter (I might need to get a second one later as I increase the roof top panels I am told???)

I plan on doing everything DIY as I do have fitters and turners on the premises who attend to the factory machinery and would like to use them for this purpose, only thing is nobody is knowledgable on Solar systems and how they work.

So, this is my plan, any ideas and input from the very knowledgeable members of this forum?

I have never done this before and I don't know if I am missing anything?

Me, I would definitely get an engineer involved with the planning, connections, impact on the roof etc.

The labour can be sources locally, but the planning and everything around copnnecting 335 panels ... definitely higher grade maths.
