New Solar Installation Teething Problem Questions!

Featured Replies

Hi. Brand new to solar having just moved to spain. The local solar expert has installed a brand new installation comprising: 12 Solar panels, Axpert King 5KW PAR-A inverter, Pylontech US2000 lithium batteries x 6 and a Hyundai HY6500 SEi generator for backup. All seems to work well, sun shines and the batteries charge! The question I have is: the generator is set to 'automatic' mode - my expectation is that it will only start and run when the batteries need a boost charge - yesterday all six batteries were fully charged (6 green lights) and the generator started and ran for 10 minutes or so, the same today. (I have reverted to switching the generator off). Any suggestions as to why this might happen?

Thanks

Andy
