  1. @YellowTapemeasure Thanks for the spreadsheet, its a great help. There are 2 cells which I'm not sure if I have input correctly. VMP Coef (Sheet1, Q3) - I used Pmax(γ_Pmp) MPPT Imax (Sheet1, B11 / Inverters, F22) - I used Maximum Solar Charge Current I have transferred the info onto the spreadsheet and the only "red" is the panel wattage exceeding by 140W. @Kalahari Meerkat & @Coulomb The Inverter 4000W vs Panels 4140W is my main concern. Well, I don't know what I don't know (complete newbie), so I think that is the only area of concern. But there seems to be a general acceptance for 12x 345W Panels for a nominal over spec on panel wattage. I guess I could start with 3S combination and then change to 2S. The only challenge would be the combiner box - 4 inputs versus 6 inputs. The combiner box was also the other reason for 3S. 2. Hi all, I'm new to the forum and new to solar energy systems, exited to learn from the community. I'm venturing into a solar and inverter install at my new home and seek confirmation and/or clarification on my approach. My main question relates to the sizing of the solar panels. Currently I have an Axpert King 5KVA. I want to replace my existing deep cycle GEL batteries (4x 240aH) with 2x Pylontech US3000C 3.5kWh Li-Ion Solar Batteries. I guess that in itself is an indication round one attempt was not correctly set up. In my defense, the continuous load shedding and stolen power cables didn't help. I'm going to add 12x JA Solar 345W Mono, as no panels exist today. The Inverter specs: Maximum PV Array Open Circuit Voltage - 145VDC Maximum PV Array Power - 4000W MPP Range @ Operating Voltage - 60-115VDC Panels specs: Rated Maximum Power(Pmax) - 345W Open Circuit Voltage(Voc) - 41.8VDC Maximum Power Voltage(Vmp) - 35VDC Question According to my calculation, 12x modules consisting of 3 panels per string with 4 strings. Would this configuration be correct, are the amount of panels too many or even over spec'ed? I would be grateful with any assistance on this matter. Thanks.
