Hi all I had "solar sell" ticked and because of this push quite allot back into the grid. The installer said When this happens and I would like to get my reading more realistic I need to deselect the "solar sell". When I do that, the system basically produce what is required for the load and don't sell back to grid. 2 Questions 1. In a scenario where if "solar sell" is ticked and we generate 6kwh but load is only 1kw and 5 get pushed back, if I deselect the solar sell, suddenly the solar only give 1kw. What happens to the other 5? Will it not damage system because the other 5kw got nowhere to go? 2. Is there a setting that I can switch off all solar (strings) and just make use of grid? your comment please

Hi all I am new to the form but did get some info from here while doing research for my installation. Got a Deye 8kw inverter and the installer connected my complete db-board to the system. Got no issues at all and like the fact I can still heat water with solar power without installing a solar geyser. My issue: I would like to get some sort of notification when the grid go off. The reason is that my geyser currently run on a Geyserwise timer and switch on and of in the morning afternoon and then the evening. If I am not at home and the solar don't provide enough power to run the house, swimming pool pump and the geyser on a cloudy day and the power go off I will run out of battery very quickly. So therefore the requirement to get a notification when grid go off and then I will install a wifi circuit breaker which I can switch off remotely. Is this a bit of a stretch or is this even possible? Any ideas? surely there is an app out there that can send this notification. Thanks in advance
