Good morning all
I need some help. I dont know all the in's and out's of the solar setup. I want to best utilise my solar, to minimise my utility bill.
I currently have 12 330W poly panels, 2x 4.8 kwa Narada 48NPFC100 batteries, and a 5kwa RCT inverter.
Currently the settings are set to SUB (Solar first, then utility and then battery). This causes the utility to kick in around 18h30 in the summer
My batteries are fully charged, and technically not being used at the moment.
Most of the other settings are set to default
Here is the current problem:
Before, I had the setting to SBU (Solar, Battery, then utility)
However, often it happened that the 1 battery was dead (depleted) by the morning. This happened due to the battery being used from mid afternoon some days (around 14h00 or 15h00)
How do I ensure the following:
1) Solar should be used when available for all household requirements
2) Batteries should charge during the day to max capacity, using solar
3) Batteries should be used when solar not available, but should not be depleted. if battery capacity drops below 25%, utility power should be used
4) Solar should then charge batteries again once available
I have checked, and 90% of the time, my usage is at 18-25% of capacity
If I need to be more specific or add more detail, I am happy to. I just need some guidance in terms of using all the voltage and utility, etc settings
Thank you
Stef
