Advice & request for quotations: ~5kWh battery backup system
Thanks. Requested a quote from Power Guru. Was about to go with Solar Advice until seeing some concerning feedback about aftersales service if you're not in Cape Town. Does the Power Forum store do installations? Thanks. Wanted to procure the parts and installation from the same supplier (or for a supplier to recommend an installer they trust and have a working relationship with) to avoid any blame games in case something goes wrong - seen instances where the parts supplier blames the installer and vice versa. I see re-volt do installations, have sent them a request for quote. Noted, thanks. On a side note, have requested quotes from 6 different suppliers and haven't received a single one which is quite bizarre. Is this the norm?

Advice & request for quotations: ~5kWh battery backup system
Greetings, Been researching a loadshedding solution and would like to request installers on the forum to please quote me on the parts and installation (in Pretoria) for the following system, and any advice from other members will be appreciated. Current leanings (and to give an idea of budget): Pylontech UP5000 or similar battery; Deye 5KW Hybrid Inverter or equivalent hassle-free, tried and tested inverter. Requirements: 48V system (apparently this is good for future-proofing?); ~5kWh LiFePO4 battery (seems like the best value proposition?); 5kW hybrid inverter; Easy expandability for adding solar panels and more batteries / inverters in future; Battery cabinet (2-4 battery capacity); Wiring into DB to power all lights and selected plugs. Thoughts? Would also appreciate if you could mention Gauteng installers in this post to get their attention. Thanks guys. @Leshen
