Pho3niX90's post in Sunsynk battery connection was marked as the answerThe cable needs to be sized according to the power/amps you will be pulling at the worst case scenario, towards the busbar. If money isn't an option, and safety is the main concern, use the same sized towards the battery. This will account for times where batteries are taken out of the group for maintenance/service etc.
As for isolators, I have one on each battery. For the same reason as above.
Out of curiosity, what is the peak draw? And average consumption?
