  1. Thank you so much Scorp and Steve. I already have a Mecer 2400va currently with 4x 100ah Lead Acid deep cycle batteries, but of course the longevity is lacking. Currently my batteries are shot, so that is why I was looking at the previously mentioned system. Wondering if I should consider a battery like this to go along with this inverter:
  2. Thank you Steve for your reply. I have 3 reasons for wanting to go this route: Renting currently; this particular landlord denies permission for such installations. The db-board is in an occupied bedroom; and the door doesn't leave much clearance beneath it for laying cable. I want to buy hardware that I can reuse once I relocate or buy property of my own. "The next question will be how will you channel the inverters output power? Through another wall plug??" I don't know, that is why I am asking for advice. Edit: The output power would be through a multi-adapter/PDU.
  3. This is the quote from the first supplier. The details might indicate that they're handling the earth-linkage, to make it possible for the inverter to draw power from the wall?
  4. Hi Powerforum, Is it possible to configure a hybrid inverter such as a Sunsynk 5kva to draw power from the wall on a 20amp breaker? I've gotten quotes from local specialists; however I'm left with conflicting information. The first supplier said it is possible, the only drawback is slower charge rate due to wall-plugs being limited in amperage. The second supplier recommended against this, mentioning that an earth is required and the inverters typically trickle 20watts back into the grid; therefore requiring the inverter to be paired with the DB-board. I'm a layman on the topic and have been trying to counteract my ignorance, thank you for taking the time to read this.
