  1. Hi John thanks. I am waiting for the power forum stores to get back to me before I make my decision. Am buying the Kodak battery and sunsynk from them.
  2. I have decided to go with the Sunsynk 5kw inverter. Hubble AM2 5kwh or Kodak 3.68 48v battery which one is in question. Waiting for feed back from suppliers. Thanks again for your assistance.

  4. Hi No it will need to be installed by a professional. I didn't know you could add panels later. That will work for me. Can you also add a small wind turbine in the future with the solar panels?
  5. Hi Meerkat I am only going to run certain house hold appliances permanently on solar due to load shedding. Thus only need 3kw inverter. There are so many products out there and my knowledge is basically zero when it comes to solar. Do you know a solar system which I can purchase which is reliable. I know 50k is not much but if I sacrifice on battery to upgrade later and get a good quality inverter and panels. What system do you advise on.
  6. I am looking for a 3kw solar off grid system for about 50k. Any suggestions

  9. Ok so I have looked around and read up a bit more on solar. Going to run a few lights,tv, wifi, electric fence and what ever else I can on 3kw solar. What I have been looking at is Kodak 3kw solar inverter vm111, 6 by 450w Trina solar monocrystalline panel and solar gel battery s. If anyone can give me any advise it would be great. Cheers Mike
  10. Good day. I live in Durban on top or a sea facing ridge thus wind will definitely assist in my new project. Load shedding is becoming a nightmare and I am putting a 3kva solar system together to be able to upgrade to 8kva. Eventually be off the grid. Initial investment R50000. Solar 6 by 450w panels, wind 1000w, batteries 2 by 100A and inverter for 3 kw feed? My price range and line of thought is most probably way out. Want to run 6 led lights, tv, wifi, electric gate during load shedding and more if surplus. Could someone assist me on what is the best way forward before I get a quotation. Cheers
  11. Sorry not sure how this all works. Lady was definitely not meant to pop up
